Tropic Isles is conveniently located in the Flour Bluff area of Corpus Christi, Texas nestled along the shores of Laguna Madre. First developed in 1956, the Tropics were at the heart of the planning thus naming the streets and coves after Tropical islands and seas. Now Tropic Isles is a unique community of 421 water front lots. The Homeowners Association is charged with the responsibility of maintaining the canals and waterways in Tropic Isles.
The main attraction for the residents of Tropic Isles is the scenic and active waterways. Tropic Isles Channel connects to Inner Coastal Waterway and is only six miles from the Gulf of Mexico through the Packery Channel. There are many activities to enjoy on the waterways. Just out of the main channel, you can fish for trout, drum, flounder, red fish and many other species. In the Laguna, there are multiple blinds and excellent little islands for duck hunting. Plus only three miles away by boat, there is an excellent place for water skiing, swimming, or just enjoying a beautiful sunset. It is only a short 15 to 20 minute boat ride to many popular restaurants as well.
Away from the water, Tropic Isles is just 10 minutes from the beach of North Padre Island and 20 minutes to downtown Corpus Christi. Flour Bluff ISD is one of the most highly accredited school districts in the state of Texas. It is also recognized for the ten time Flour Bluff NJROTC Navy National Champions, 2007 Varsity Football Regional Finalist and 2006 Volleyball Regional Quarter Finalist. Needless to say there is a lot do and a lot more to enjoy.
